Oasis Christmas Appeal Launch 2014Oasis Christmas Appeal Launch 2014 at Sainsbury's Local in Cobham High StreetEvery year the Oasis Children's Charity Christmas Appeal aims to give each child in its care a new gift for Christmas and each family receives a Christmas food parcel - ensuring that everyone can get a glimpse of the kind of Christmas that so many of us can take for granted.

This year, to mark the launch, the children from the Charity have decorated two fabulous post boxes for people to leave donated gifts in. Santa personally delivered the boxes to the collection centre, Sainsbury's on Cobham High Street!

Please support Oasis's campaign by donating new and unwrapped gifts for children aged 0-18 and leaving them in the boxes at Sainsbury's on Cobham High Street between now and December 9th. The Charity will wrap the gifts and give them to vulnerable children in its care at its annual Christmas party.

Alternatively donations for Christmas Food Parcels can be made online at www.oasischildcare.co.uk. Each food parcel costs around £63 and contains Christmas dinner essentials such as a turkey and seasonal vegetables.

Oasis Children's Charity provides essential care and support to approximately 250 local vulnerable children and their families each year. The reasons the families are referred to Oasis ranges from poverty and social isolation, to children and adults who are suffering from all kinds of abuse.

Many of the families that Oasis supports regularly rely on the Cobham food bank to get by, making Christmas is an impossible and daunting time for them. The Christmas Appeal relieves some of this pressure and for many of these children it is the only time of the year that they will receive something new.

Oasis would like to thank Sainsbury's for their fantastic commitment to the Christmas appeal – they are not only acting as the collection centre for gifts, but they have also donated £100 towards the Christmas food parcels. The nine stores located in the region are also each donating £50 of children's gifts to the appeal.
