Diamond Jubilee Celebrations

We are planning to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee in some style in Cobham.

Diamond Jubilee LogoCommemorating the Diamond Jubilee will see the Cobham Recreation ground designated as a QEII Playing Field, being the only successful bid for this status in Elmbridge.

So June 3rd will be a real ‘party in the park’ event on the new QEII Playing Field, including a giant screen to show the Jubilee procession down the Thames live, whilst we host our own Jubilee celebrations in Cobham.

Diamond Jubilee Commemorative Bone China Mug

The Cobham Chamber of Commerce are also commissioning a special Limited Edition Commemorative fine bone china mug to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee; numbers will be limited to 3,512. 1500 of these will be offered free and 2012 will be numbered and available for purchase.

We are working with Cobham based Gordon Marks, Silver and Goldsmiths and independent jewellers and Hudson & Middleton from Stoke on Trent to produce a bespoke design which will celebrate the Diamond Jubilee and also recognise the designation of the QEII playing field, making it unique to Cobham.

Further details of the design and how you can get one of the 1500 Free Commemorative mugs will be announced in early May, together with details on how you can purchase one of the limited edition numbered Commemorative mugs.

Visit our website regularly to find out more about the 3rd June celebrations and to be the first to register to receive one of the limited edition fine bone china mugs.
